Donor Care officer

ROLE

An engaging, dynamic and kind Donor Care Officer to handle the portfolio of all Anglophone individual donors, mostly in India and secondly abroad (US, UK, Australia). In this position, you will be in charge of these donors and prospects with an objective to secure the funds expected by TARA on this particular segment.

OBJECTIVES

  • Retain existing individual donors
  • Facilitate their visits to the programs
  • Report regularly to the donors and to line manager
  • Prospect new donors
  • Define (in coordination with the team) and implement the communication plan for your segment
  • Organisation events for your segment
  • MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

    Donor care

  • Be in regular contact with TARA’s individual donors. Answer their questions.
  • Maintain database and all relevant documentation
  • Receive donations, financial and in-kind, issue receipt, acknowledge to donors
  • Follow up on donors’ payments every month
  • Organise visits of programs for individual sponsors and prospects.
  • Handover individual gifts to children and acknowledge.
  • In partnership with the Donor Care Officer working with Francophone donors,
  • maintain all year long news on the institutionalised children in the Donors space
  • Communication

  • Content writing on TARA’s website and social medias. Create contents for the segment that appeals to sponsors and donors.
  • Click and collect convincing photographs of the children
  • Design, launch and manage online fundraising campaigns
  • Improve the possibilities for donors to contribute online
  • Evaluate the success of previous fundraising actions
  • Organisation-related

  • Represent the organisation at public events, with donors, philanthropists
  • Attend regular internal meetings
  • Ensure that all legal reporting requirements are satisfied
  • PROFILE REQUIRED

    Post graduated

  • 1-4 years of experience in fundraising-related activities // A motivated junior can apply
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Excellent organisational abilities
  • Strong interest in child protection matters and development sector
  • Team player
  • Persistent, tenacious, diplomatic
  • Professional practice of social media is a plus
  • Photography skills are a plus
  • Graphism skills are a plus
  • LOCALISATION

  • India (New Delhi, head office in Navjeevan Vihar)
  • PACKAGE

    Gross salary 26,600 to 36,700 INR as per profile

    + Provident Fund + Health insurance + Possibility to work from home one day per week (once probation period is completed)

    The position involves working occasionally on Saturdays, which will be compensated by extra leaves.
