TARA Tots have moved in a new home!

TARA Tots used the opportunity of summer holidays to move in a new home. The home is now located in another area in Delhi. They left their previous neighborhood and got closer to the TARA Boys, who have also moved last fall.

The event has been awaited by the children for a long time. They were so excited to know that the home has three floors and is no longer an apartment. As soon as they knew about it, the only thing they could think about was to run up and down the three floors!

It is not easy to organize the shift of 20 children aged between 2 and 8 years old. We needed a lot of carton boxes to pack all the toys, clothes and the other items that the children have been accumulating for the last 6 years… Everyone was very helpful to realize this huge task and the carton boxes were easily filled out thanks to the help of the staff, children and volunteers.

While waiting for the removal truck rented for the shifting, Ganesha and Charan wanted to pose with all the carton boxes full of their belongings. Moving out took a few days and the children were all hurried to discover their new home.

Meanwhile, Vaishnavi was happy to pose one last time in the home where she has been growing up for the last years and to tell us how excited she was to settle into the new home. The new area the Tots live in is a peaceful residential area, very close to a big park. As soon as the shifting was done, the children forgot their previous home.

They are so happy and proud to live in a big home, on three levels. They have all the space they need for their various activities and have quickly got used to their new playground. Sarthak and Anita did not wait long to start again their intense Carrom’s games!

The activities have started again. The study time now takes place on the upper level, with a large and quiet room, away from the play room, which is located on the ground floor. The Tots can study quietly upstairs when their roommates can play downstairs. The manager and staff office is located downstairs, in a quiet place. Regarding the bedrooms, we decided that the smallest children will have their room on the ground floor, to avoid any risk to fall down from the stairs. Hence, the eldest kids’ bedrooms are on the upper floor.

Here are some pics of the home:

The house-warming party still has to be scheduled, but we are sure, it will be a wonderful party, knowing that such a large home is particularly well fitted for celebrations! TARA Boys and Girls are so happy about the news and are looking forward to celebrating it all together.

Thank you again to all of our partners, foundations, companies, sponsors. All these successes are possible thanks to you!
