At TARA Training Centre, our mission is to uphold the highest standards of professionalism and expertise among every TARA associate, employee, teacher, and volunteer who interacts with children in need of care and protection. Established in 2017, the TARA Training Centre is dedicated to equipping individuals with the specialized skill set required to make a positive and lasting impact on the lives of vulnerable children. These training courses are designed for TARA social workers and other organisations involved in child protection. They focus on education, law, social worker techniques, legislation, the safety of children and their environment, etc. Workers that have been trained stay longer in TARA, which has a beneficial impact on the children.
Empowering Through Professional Training
We recognize the critical importance of continuous learning and development in the field of Child Care. That's why the TARA Training Centre conducts 12-14 training sessions annually, ensuring that every TARA associate is well-prepared to navigate the challenges and opportunities presented by their roles. Our training programs are meticulously designed to cover a wide spectrum of essential professional tools, enabling our trainees to excel in their responsibilities. Many of the training arranged by TTC are followed by a written assessment.

The TARA Training Centre takes pride in fostering a dynamic learning environment that nurtures growth and empowerment. Our trainees consistently express greater confidence and preparedness as a result of our regular training sessions. These sessions cover a range of topics, including:
Handling emergency situations: From Fire Safety to Earthquake Safety and First Aid, our training empowers employees to respond effectively in urgent situations, ensuring the safety and well-being of the children under their care.
Legal Understanding: Our training includes in-depth sessions on Acts such as the JJ Act and POCSO, deepening participants' knowledge of child-related legislation. This knowledge equips them to navigate legal complexities in their day-to-day work.
Professional Skills: Communication and Organizational Skills serve as essential tools that actively help our associates in their daily tasks and projects.
Language Enrichment: We also offer weekly English classes to operational staff, enhancing their ability to communicate effectively.
Child Care excellence: collaboration for Impact
TARA Training Centre’s commitment extends beyond our immediate community. We are proud to share our expertise and dedication with other organizations that work in the child care sector. One such partnership is with "Guardians of Dreams" in Bangalore. With them, TTC has developed various policies, procedures, templates and training. TTC has trained 12 different CCI in South India (in Bangalore, Chennai and Kochi), who in total take care of around 300 children. TTC has also being closely working with Guardians in creating various policies and documents related to CCIs and their smooth functioning These resources are designed to benefit Child Care Institutes across south India, ensuring a collective effort to improve the lives of children..
TTC is also very excited and proud to expand in New Delhi. TTC is taking the help of the Honourable CWC and DCPU to explore the possibility of conducting training for the CCIs in Delhi.
