Franz Liszt (nearly) at TARA

Thanks to Lisztomanias International, we welcomed at TARA Boys a musicologist, Nicolas Dufetel, great communicator and educationist, who came to expose our children to a few beautiful excerpts of western classical music.
Through the work of Franz Liszt, a 19th Century Hungarian composer, the boys learned about the effect music can have on you - how it can evoke feelings of happiness, sadness, fear etc.

They were asked to close their eyes and listen to music, then they discussed how it made them feel. They were captivated by the music and the exercises as you can see from their attentive expressions!
And of course, as always, their highlight was when they got to make the noise themselves - experimenting with rhythms with their metal glasses!
