A logo redesign for a new youthfulness!

TARA had rejuvenation with its logo redesign. We are very proud to present you today our new face.

Why we have done a logo redesign?

It has been almost nine years now that the first TARA project started, with the opening of TARA Boys in 2008. TARA's identity has grown as fast as the first boys did, with the launch of TARA Tots in 2012, TARA Big Birds in 2014 and TARA Girls in 2015 and the reinforcement of its expertise in the field of Child Protection in New Delhi.

The blue bird of TARA, which the first Boys found painted on the walls of their house eight years ago, has carried us in our beginnings. It is now time to let him fly away and give space for a new visual identity which will represent better TARA's evolution and its daily actions.

Some explanations

You will recognize the colors of TARA's four homes (blue, orange, grey, pink) framing an "A" formed by the roof of a house which gives shelters to two children (boy and girl) holding hands and soaring up towards the bright star of their future. Indeed, "TARA" in hindi means "star", it is the name that the first children chose to define what the projects mean to them.

Moreover, their clasped hands symbolize, on the one hand, the proximity of siblings that our different Homes allow. On the other hand, they picture the long-term impact of the TARA projects ; when a child is educated and independent, he is indeed able to change the life of his loved ones, especially for his future family if he wishes to build one. The roof under which these two children find shelter can therefore represent both the present roof of TARA Homes and the roof of a future home, built independently by each child raised in TARA.

Our baseline did not escape the relooking!

TARA wants to enhance the experience acquired over the years with a new description of its activity “Child Protection and Empowerment”. It is intended to better match with the work our team have done and the values we are all proud of.

We hope that you will like this new logo! If you do, just let us know!
