TARA programs are made possible thanks to the generous support of individual donors. If you wish to help us, you may sponsor a child or make a one-time donation.
The children placed in TARA HOMES have lived in extreme vulnerable conditions for several years. In many cases, they were subject to violence, abuse, malnutrition or even muder attempts.
Through our Outreach program, we provide educational support and prevent institutionalisation of children living in destitute families.
When you donate, you express your belief in their potentiality and capabilities. You help TARA offer a safe place, quality education and individual care to children in need.
By supporting TARA, you become a Change Maker. Your contribution will change the life of children.
WHO ARE THE CHILDREN IN OUR PROGRAMS?
As per a survey undertaken by Delhi Commission for Protection of Child Rights, there are more than 70,000 children living on the streets in Delhi, who are either abandoned or live in highly impoverished families.
The TARA programs look after a limited number of beneficiaries in order to ensure a sustainable change in their childhood and future.
The children are placed at TARA HOMES by the order of the Child Welfare Committee (a Board of Magistrates representing the Government of India).
The beneficiaries of TARA Outreach Centre are identified by our social workers and enrolled with the approval of their family.
The quality of TARA's programs and the expertise we have developed over the years have permitted us to gradually scale up and establish an excellent reputation in Delhi.
WHAT WILL YOUR DONATION OFFER TO THE CHILDREN
- INR 500 One set of clothes for 1 child
- INR 1 000 One month of stationary for 40 children
- INR 2 000 One month of personal sanitary products for 10 children
- INR 2 500 One month of medical expenses for 5 children
- INR 5 000 One month of math tuition classes for 5 children
- INR 10 000 One month of rice, flour and daal for 20 children
Funds collected are tailored to the most urgent needs.

We are an NGO working to protect and educate children in Delhi, India. Our organization is an Indo-French joint venture between a French NGO called CHAYA France and an Indian NGO called ONYVA. Created in 2009, both the organizations manage the strategic and executive implementation of the programs.
