Massala Christmas

The Tara Tots got a tent for Christmas. Santa who knows everything about children knows it well: the Tots ADORE everything that is hutish or shedish.

We managed to keep them unmoving during a short while thanks to the gifts.

Santa indulged the Boys and the Tots who had gathered for the evening around the Christmas tree.

The usual thing : the gift of the neighbour is always more appealing than the one which is for you…

A Virtual Tour of Tara

Our Friends and Sponsors GoPhilanthropic have visited us recently and shot our children in action, both at Tara Boys and Tara Tots. Plus a special section on 'The Kingdom of Dreams' (a name chosen by the children, you had guessed!), where the Young Adults stay.
Ladies and Gentlemen, this is Tara.

Brick Scientists

Take three eight-stud Lego bricks and they can be combined in 1060 ways. Take these same bricks and a couple more, add the enthusiasm of the Tara Tots and Boys and the combinations become nearly infinite. This is what Masha and Max are planning to achieve by putting in place a special program for the Tara kids, using Lego bricks to foster their creativity and interest in culture and science.

This is not a first for Masha and Max. Masha has volunteered in multiple children centered projects and Max is the founder of BrickScientist School, a Netherlands-based workshop program teaching kids about science and engineering, using Lego bricks. While the main workshop will be held in 2013, Masha is already busy with discovery sessions, attempting to contain the limitless creativity of the young Tara minds.

Squad of the Tots

It's high time to introduce you!

The “Peanuts
The new comers. They are still too small or not ready for school, the baby judo class and the complex choreographies of their elders the Cubs! But they have their own teacher who comes every morning to conduct a Montessori class. During one hour, they put the blue eggs in the blue basket, pile up legos and threat wooden pearls and other exciting manual activities which leave them literally exhausted. But with two fully deserved naps a day, they have the time to recover.

Fayum (2 y.o.), Roshan (3 y.o.), Shlok (3 y.o.)

Raj (4 y.o.), Khushboo (2 y.o.), Hussain (3 y.o.)

The “Cubs
The guys have a ‘Ben 10’ schoolbag. The ladies are more inclined towards Hannah Montana. Every morning, the leave the Peanuts at home, take their lunch box and head for school, the wonderful preschool Santa Maria, an integrated learning environment centred around a marvellous garden where they learn sign language, sports and arts and also how to communicate with gooses and turkeys. In the afternoon, they come back for lunch, sing, dance, practive yoga and baby judo, as well as a vast variety of mischieves until dusk. They go to bed at 7.30pm at the sound of Buddhist chants.

Farhaan (4 y.o.), Manish (5 y.o.), Rinku (5 y.o.)

The Prayer of the Tots

Time for dinner at Tara Tots. The children tell their "prayer". Which is in fact an invitation to finish their plate...

Time for a Break

It's time for a break for our Administration Officer Anuj. Between a session of accountancy and another one of plumbery, Anuj works on his popularity with the ‘Peanuts’ (the Tara Tots under age 3).

Small Fishes In a Big Pond

When it is super hot in Delhi and just feel like you are melting, there is only one option: go for a swim. The current 45 degrees convinced us to organize a Sunday afternoon at the water park and the Tara Tots are completely ecstatic about it!

Manish, Deepika, Noorie, Vanshika and Farhan CAN swim.
(Provided there is not too much water...)

Roars of laughter for Deepika and Noorie, while Manish is resting after a long "swim".

"Tchello!" Vanshika and Farhan in the water slide...

Before the water park: Fully energetic...

After the water park: ...No comment.

Splash games in the garden

A scorching heat, a garden, a pipe, a bunch of happy kiddos and here we go, a giant water war has been declared! Sikander (from Tara Boys, invited this afternoon at Tara Tots) will probably remember this joyful moment for a very long time because we, Tara Tots, know how to welcome our guests.
